Rachel’s financial career began as a child at her family's dinner table. As the daughter of an estate-planning attorney and psychiatrist, she grew up engaged in dinner conversation about protecting one’s finances and the suffering caused by mental illness. While some children tuned out their parent’s conversation, Rachel was an active participant. Rachel’s combination of intellect and passion was joined by another unique pairing: art and athletics. As a competitive tennis player and creative artist, she attended Cornell University and later Christie’s Master’s program for the Arts.
The road from art-world to financial professional was a personal journey. In 2006, Rachel’s beloved mother lost her battle with cancer at the age of 58. During this same time-period Rachel said goodbye to her maternal grandmother. Rachel experienced firsthand the power of sound financial planning. Due to her parent’s planning, Rachel’s mother was able to take early retirement and spend her remaining days with loved ones, whereas, her grandmother’s sudden passing and lack of planning resulted in the family losing much wealth. These losses ignited Rachel’s passion to coach clients toward financial stability, with a philosophy rooted in the belief that preparation is one of few aspects we can control about the future.
As a nine-year veteran of the financial services industry, Rachel thoughtfully listens to her clients. By taking a holistic approach to planning, she creates financial options, which reducing stress and diminishing confusion, thus enhancing her clients’ financial balance. Rachel is able to save her clients time and money through this in-depth approach. In addition to supporting her clients on a personal level, Rachel has earned the designation as a Certified Business Exit Planner. Rachel’s passion is collaboration with her clients, with the focus on protecting their income, growing wealth, and when working with a business owner, planning for the future sale of their business.
Away from work, Rachel enjoys cooking, baking, playing tennis, going on hikes, and taking trips to the Oregon Coast with her husband and son.
