We can’t choose our parents, so I feel lucky with the ones I got. They immigrated to the United States from the Philippines in the 1970s. As I grew up in Las Vegas in the 80s and 90s, I witnessed how hard they worked to provide for my three siblings and me. My dad drove a limo and worked in food & beverage (both on graveyard) to make ends meet while building his insurance business. My mom started as a pre-school teacher’s aide to eventually become the teacher at a small Las Vegas school where she’s stayed for over twenty years. They taught me the value of hard work in anything I set out to do – school, sports, music, and eventually my career.

I graduated from high school in 2004, in the middle of a booming economy, and pursued a Business Degree at UNLV. Four years later, the worst recession since the Great Depression proved to be a difficult time to find a job with a Bachelors Degree in International Business. Striving to learn and grow in a tough job market, I went back to school for my Masters in Business Administration, which I earned in 2010.

As a lifelong Las Vegas Native, I’ve watched the city evolve into a place that is no longer just the mecca for gambling and shows, but a major player in business, sports, and innovation. Since joining Westpac Wealth Partners in 2016, I have grown my business organically, working with many Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurse Anesthetists on individual financial planning. In the business owner market, I have focused on helping small business owners with wealth building, business continuation, and protection. I like to see hard-working people get the most financial benefit from their efforts, as I envision each family being my parents and deserving everything they want in their working years and retirement.

In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing my favorite sport, soccer. Playing has slowed down a bit since I tore my Achilles during a game in 2018. Injuries are the cost of loving to play a sport for decades and getting older. I wouldn’t trade all my soccer games for an injury-free life. I also have a passion for playing drums and guitar. Sports and music give us powerful metaphors for life, and I take these with me to work for my clients every day.
