Art Veyna

Wealth Management Advisor

Art started his first career while in grammar school, working on the family farm. Art left home at age 18 but continued working for his family. The early work experience taught Art there were no shortcuts when it came to farming. You could not have a successful harvest if you did not plow, plant, disc, fertilize, irrigate, and maintain your crop year-round, and sometimes with no days off and always long hours.

At 23 years of age and after several years of working fulltime on the farm and attending junior college night classes, Art decided to continue his college education and attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He graduated in four years with a degree in Agriculture. Art joined an amateur boxing team and his 70 fights as an amateur reinforced the philosophy of no shortcuts. Art was a two-time Golden Glove and AAU regional champion. Art also joined Lambda Chi Alpha international fraternity. With a full load at school, training three hours a day for boxing, Art learned the benefits of setting goals, planning, and organizing. It was the fraternity that provided Art with lifelong brothers and taught Art to leverage the resources of his fraternity brothers for tutoring in classes where he needed help. Art relied heavily on grants and scholarships provided by public and private foundations to fund his education.

All those life experiences taught Art the importance of planning, organizing, collaboration, and leveraging the
talents of others when it comes to helping his clients realize their financial goals and dreams. It also led Art to
specialize in Planned Giving. Specializing in Planned Giving has helped his business owner, and business executive clients, reduce, or eliminate income and estate taxes, increase their spendable income during their lifetime, and leave a legacy while benefiting a charity. Art’s practice leads to understanding your wants and needs and only then does the planning process begin.

Art serves as a board member of the Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Sigma Zeta fraternity Chapter located in San Luis
Obispo, and chairperson of the investment committee for the Phi Sigma Zeta Chapter. Art is also Chair of the Lambda Chi Alpha Southern California national alumni association. Art lives with his wife, Michelle, in Laguna Beach, CA. While Art and Michelle have no children of their own, they have been blessed with nine Godchildren. Art enjoys reading, traveling, mountain biking, golfing, paddle boarding and is a level two wine specialist graduate from the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust, (WSET).
