Liang Lee Ranked #1 in Forbes Top Best-in-State Financial Security Professionals in Hawaii

December 15, 2022

WestPac is proud to announce our very own Liang Lee has been selected by Forbes as #1 Top Best-in-State Financial Security Professional in Hawaii. This tremendous honor comes as no surprise to us here at WestPac. Liang’s experience and dedication are just a couple of the reasons he has been able to have such remarkable success.

Liang’s career in financial services took root as a teenager when he took on the challenge of conquering Wall Street. By the age of 17 he was working on the trading floor of Goldman Sachs. His Wall Street career was well under way by the time he became Director of Credit Suisse's Fixed Income Division.

At Credit Suisse in New York, Liang was responsible for structuring and trading billions of dollars in complex securities. Liang was able to accomplish this because of his ability to keep focused. According to Liang, this approach has deep roots from growing up as an immigrant to the United States and a desire to make something of himself in a country where so much opportunity is available.

After many years of success on Wall Street, Liang found himself looking for something more. He loved finance but wanted to be able to have a greater impact in the community, not just to a random account. So, in 2005 Liang made a move to Hawaii, changing the trajectory of his life.

In his new home state of Hawaii, Liang served as the Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for the Bank of Hawaii. His extensive experience in complex securities and risk management allowed Liang to drive positive outcomes, even during the financial crisis in 2008 to 2009. As Liang continued his accomplished career, once again, he was left wanting more. Rather than helping build institutions, Liang yearned to make a difference in the lives of individuals and their families. His desire to help others with his experience led him to WestPac, formerly known as Wealth Strategy Partners.

Since joining WestPac Liang and his team have positively impacted hundreds of individuals and their families. The experience he has attained since his days on the trading floor makes him a unique asset to his clients and the WestPac family. The dedication he has to his clients, family and community is the reason he has earned the title of #1 Top Best-In-State Financial Security Professional in Hawaii from Forbes. His drive to become a worthy role model has set him apart. His willingness to invest in his business makes him incredibly valuable. His ability to inspire others through his work is something we can all be proud of here at WestPac. Liang’s love of helping people and their families, to achieve financial confidence, is all part of the reason he has been recognized.

As a company that is highly focused on culture, people, and process, we could not be more pleased to have Liang Lee as “one of our own” and are looking forward to working with him as he continues to make a tremendous impact in the community, we call home.
