Liang’s journey in finance began in New York City at just 17 years old, working on the trading floor at Goldman Sachs. He later graduated from Stony Brook University with near-perfect grades and held key roles at Merrill Lynch and as Director of Fixed Income at Credit Suisse—all while structuring and trading billions in complex securities. In 2005, Liang relocated to Hawaii, joining the Bank of Hawaii as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, where he delivered positive results even through the 2008–2009 financial crisis.
In 2011, Liang joined WestPac driven by a desire to make a more direct impact. Known for his integrity and client-centered focus, he built a practice grounded in personalized, comprehensive planning. Now based on the East Coast, Liang serves clients across more than 15 states—bringing his trusted guidance and positive impact to a broader audience.
